In 1998, Mark Graduated from TU Delft, the Netherlands with Master Degree in Architecture. After graduation, Mark worked at TU Delft as guest professor from 2000 to 2007.
Mark has successful experience worldwide. Since 2012, Mark has permanently located in Shanghai, asDirector in KCAP at the beginning. Leading the team of KCAP, Mark has realized several critical projects,such as Qibao Commercial Center in Shanghai and Media Park in Qingdao. Since 2015, Mark has joined INBO and setup our office in Shanghai. With his local and international experience in public buildings,multifunctional urban developments and transformation, he has led INBO China team to build several representative projects, Science Museum in Nanchang, Water Museum in Ningbo, Billboard Music-hub in Shanghai and Dayangshan TOD in Suzhou.
Mark loves to be surprised, be it by new cultures, collaborations or exciting concepts. He effortlessly connects disciplines:urban design, architecture, transformation, transit-oriented development and sustainability. This makes him the embodiment of the ‘Dutch approach’ that is attracting such a lot of interest in China. His pragmatism and flexibility are key to his operating in Asia.
