Zhu Zhiyuan graduated from the School of Architecture of Tsinghua University with a bachelor”s degree and a master”s degree in architecture. He is the senior design partner and design director of Atelier cnS, and a national first-class registered architect.
In 2006, he worked at The Architectural Office (Huali) and participated in the post-disaster reconstruction of Xiaoquan Town National Primary School and the project of the Beijing Olympic Exhibition Hall of Johnson and Johnson.
In 2012, he joined Vertical Beam as a Senior Design Partner, and personally represented Atelier cnS to join “China Pioneer Firms” group to visit Italy and deliver lectures. Featured works include: Enning Road Yongqingfang, Haizhu Tongchuanghui, Quanzhou Vankeli, Pearl River Brewery Renovation (Phase I and II), B.I.G Haizhu Bay Creative Park, Dongguan White House Homestay Group, etc.
Atelier cnS is a design firm based in Guangzhou, mainly designing and researching Chinese cities and buildings in the new development stage, especially urban renewal and architectural revitalization in the context of the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
In recent years, Zhu’s team has completed a series of works with social influence, such as Enning Road Yongqingfang, Haizhu Vipin Tongchuanghui, Dongguan Xinji White House, Shude Creative Park and other architectural projects. Many of the building refurbishment projects of the Atelier cnS focus on the combination of artistry and practice, which have been well received by all walks of life and widely reported by domestic and foreign media.
